Crowning of Mary 2019

On Monday 20th May the Lighthouse team are going to lead the whole school in a celebration of Mary. Father Richard will be joining us on this day. All children in the school will take part in this special worship service and are invited to bring in a single flower. The whole school will participate in a ‘Living Rosary’ in the playground, with each child representing a bead. I would like to invite your child/children to bring in flowers from their garden (one per child) e.g. tulip, daffodil, etc. on Monday 20th May, which they will place by a statue of Our Lady in the hall as a special offering to her. We will end our ‘Living Rosary’ with the crowning of Mary and a beautiful hymn to Mary, ‘Gentle Woman'. Each May this is a most beautiful and prayerful event. During this time of worship the children will say the ‘Our Father’, ‘Hail Mary’ and ‘Glory Be’ prayers. Please make a special effort during May and October to pray the rosary as a family.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,

pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning,

is now and ever shall be, world without end,
